Thankfulness...

Thank you to whoever gave a financial gift.  It is appreciated and will be used for school or bills.  You are kind and compassionate.  God bless you!

I love my job

Can I just say I love my job.  It's not every day one gets to say that and really mean it.  Matt and I rode in a car transporting kids for nearly 12 hours yesterday.  Matt and I rode in a car for nearly 12 hours talking with kids too.  It is, quite frankly, sad, the amount of hurt these kids have gone through.  Granted some have brought it on themselves but some are genuinely a victim of circumstances.

I am excited about how God is going to use me in these relationships.

Have a great day guys and gals.  Matt and I have another LONG day ahead of us today.  Joplin-Boliver-Springfield-CABOOL-Neosho-Joplin.  I think that is the route in store for us today.  Like I said, a long day.

Later people.

Jehovah Jireh

God is good.  We had to take our car in the shop to get it fixed.  I was mentally preparing for 1-2 days worth of work and $1000+ for the total bill.  I was in the shop for a little less than 4 hours, and it cost less than $500.  God is too good.  The car is fine.  Just a general tune up and transmission fluid change, and filter change.  That is all.

Thanks for your prayers!

Job Situation Update

I have an update for you.  I have two jobs.  Praise God.  I am a substitute teacher for Joplin Public Schools and I am a tracker for DYS.  I am excited for both because I will be in the school system and work with needy students.

I thank God that I have the job.  I can see that God has prepared me / us for this position and that I will serve him well.  Candidly, I have not enjoyed the process that He has taken me through.  Although He says He will be with us, He doesn't say that it will be easy.  We all hear about how you need to trust God and he will provide, and yada yada yada.  I have been here many times before, it never gets any easier.  It does, however, remind me that He is faithful.  He has never left me hanging, he has never left me.

Thank God with me.

Today...

We are having a Superbowl party today on Superbowl Sunday.  We are having almost 15 people over to our little place.  It will be fun.  I think it is the first real party here.

I had an excellent interview with DYS this past week.  It went well.  I should start subbing at Joplin Public Schools, all grades k-12.

Pray for us still though.

Love you guys!

-Charlie
